Cakes

No, I didn't make these cakes all by myself. My little sister helped put the smarties and cherries on the small ones. They're not the best cakes, but they're certainly adequate for their purpose.

We're having some people for tea today. I think there will be about fifteen of us, but a couple more could turn up. I hope that will be enough cake for everyone (my sister thinks it's too much!), as I read that guests don't feel very welcome if they have to stop and eat at MacDonald's on the way home. And I don't doubt the truth of that statement.

However, the chance of that happening's very slim. After tea, everyone's going to church for the evening service because my sister's getting baptized at the end of it. And after the service ends, there will be refreshments.

So that's why we've got lots of cakes. Hopefully we'll have some little ones to take to church to put towards the refreshment food, but if we don't we've got biscuits. But they were bought at Sainsbury's, and so, unlike the cakes, aren't homemade.
